Hello everyone,

Our organisation is currently implementing a programme that targets to step up girls involvement in sports, build bridges and effect conflict resolution.

In Nigeria, and in particular northern Nigeria, girls and women are at the receiving end of a lot of discrimination and unable to fully live out their dreams. We have been beset from ethnic, religous and politcal conflicts. There are no solid structures to help young girls step out fully into sports and hardly any funding is given to gender specific sports programmes.

We are hoping to change that but need tons of support to help the project thrive. In the course of the project, we are learning to improvise a lot and find alternative ways to make the necessary impact.

We are hoping that this effort, given the right exposure and support, will help to revolutionise the sports landscape for girls and women and bring about positive policy change. You can check out our website to view the updates on the project and see how you can support. www.ewei.wetpaint.com

In addtion, are there any such similar projects out there and how have you been able to face and overcome the challenges youve faced?

Thanks and God bless!

Safiya
