Cheryl completed an exciting summer playing with the USA National team.
This summer the team traveled to Switzerland, Japan, China, Taiwan,
Russia and Germany. In October, Cheryl signed to play professionally
with the Criollas in Caguas, Puerto Rico. Caguas is about 20 minutes
from San Juan. The Criollas have won the Women’s Puerto Rico Championship
for the past five years.
Women’s volleyball is strongly supported in Puerto Rico and is
one of the oldest professional leagues in the world. A number of other
US players have continued their playing careers in Puerto Rico. Players
like Nancy Metcalf, Jenny Cropp, and Sherisa Livingston. The league
has also attracted recent UCLA standout and All America player Kristee
Porter.
The Puerto Rican Women's league is always looking for players. The
length of season is from January to Mid-April, the climate is great
the the fan support is tremendous. If you are a former player who would
